Service Accent Messaging enables your engineers to send simple status updates and critical job information using their mobile phones via cost-effective SMS text messages.
You may want to empower your engineers with remote access to your database, but only want to employ a small subset of functionality. These days, most engineers will carry around a mobile phone, so why not use it?
Service Accent Messaging does not require the Service Accent Notifications module to receive inbound SMS messages. However, when combined with Notifications, you can text your engineer automatically when you assign a job and then allow him to update his jobs through the day.
SMS messages are cheap - outbound messages cost approximately €0.05 each, and inbound messages cost approximately €0.02 plus your network charge each - much cheaper than your engineer calling in.
You are provided with a phone number which allows your engineers to text in a short SMS message containing a status update. These updates can include "on route", "on site", "started" and "finished" which will update the job in question in Service Accent with the appropriate status.
